Moment of silence for the victims of Haiti; Pray for the people in affected region
I have just arrived at Munich from Warsaw, still submerged in Chopin's beautiful music.
Yesterday, I was shocked to hear about the devastating earthquake in Haiti that killed thousands and left many many people trapped in the rubble, still waiting for rescues.
This reminds me of the earthquake in Si-Chuan about two years ago. May 12, 2008 a day that all Chinese would never forget. People in Si-Chuan had been through so much during that earthquake. Many of them lost their loved ones and everything they once had owned. The pain and suffering will never be lifted from our hearts. It was heartbroken to know that the same tragedy happened to people in Haiti. It's said that the death toll could rise to 100,000! I really hope this would never become the truth.
Instead of feeling powerless in front of such natural disasters, it is inspirational to witness that people from all over the world once again unite behind the search and rescue mission.
Wherever I am, my thoughts and prayers are with the displaced families in the affected region. I want to express my deepest condolences to the families that lost loved ones and pray for the people still alive. Hope you would overcome all the difficulties.
Stay strong, we are with you!
