Playing for the president
Lang Lang is having a big week. Yesterday, the celebrated Chinese pianist was the special performer at Oslo City Hall, where President Obama accepted his Nobel Peace Prize. "His speech was very moving," Lang told us from Norway. "President Obama told me his daughters actually love to practice piano, which is rare, because most kids hate to practice." Lang attended a dinner with Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, noting, "We had smoked duck and beef. It's been a fantastic experience." Lang will also perform at tonight's Nobel Peace Prize concert at the Oslo Spektrum, hosted by Will Smith. "His daughter [Willow Smith, 9] is actually going to be addressing me in Chinese, so that's exciting," he said.
