Moment of silence for the victims of Haiti; Pray for the people in affected region

I have just arrived at Munich from Warsaw, still submerged in Chopin's beautiful music.

Yesterday, I was shocked to hear about the devastating earthquake in Haiti that killed thousands and left many many people trapped in the rubble, still waiting for rescues.

This reminds me of the earthquake in Si-Chuan about two years ago. May 12, 2008 a day that all Chinese would never forget. People in Si-Chuan had been through so much during that earthquake. Many of them lost their loved ones and everything they once had owned. The pain and suffering will never be lifted from our hearts. It was heartbroken to know that the same tragedy happened to people in Haiti. It's said that the death toll could rise to 100,000! I really hope this would never become the truth.

Instead of feeling powerless in front of such natural disasters, it is inspirational to witness that people from all over the world once again unite behind the search and rescue mission.

Wherever I am, my thoughts and prayers are with the displaced families in the affected region. I  want to express my deepest condolences to the families that lost loved ones and pray for the people still alive. Hope you would overcome all the difficulties.

Stay strong, we are with you!

Hurricane Lane was the 70-646

Hurricane Lane was the 70-646 testking strongest Pacific hurricane to make landfall in Mexico since Hurricane Kenna of 2002. The thirteenth named storm, ninth hurricane, and sixth major hurricane of the 2006 Pacific hurricane season, Lane developed on September 13 from a tropical wave to the south of Mexico. It moved northwestward, parallel to the coast of Mexico, and steadily intensified in an area conducive testking 70-647 to further strengthening. After turning to the northeast, Lane attained peak winds of 125 mph (205 km/h), and made landfall in the state of Sinaloa at peak strength. It rapidly weakened and dissipated on September 17, and later brought precipitation to southern part of the U.S. state of Texas

Throughout its path, 70-648 testking Lane resulted in four deaths and moderate damage. Damage was heaviest in Sinaloa, where the hurricane made landfall, including reports of severe crop damage. Across Mexico, an estimated 4,320 homes were affected by the hurricane, with about 248,000 people affected. Moderate flooding was reported in Acapulco, resulting in mudslides in some areas. Damage across the country totaled $2.2 billion (2006 MXN), testking 70-649 or $206 million (2006 USD, or $218 million in 2010 USD).

I must say that my comment

I must say that my comment had nothing to do in regards to the crisis in Haiti. I commend you for your kind words about these people in need and I feel sorrow for them as well. My comment was just a comment about your performance. It had nothing to do with you personally or the terrible disaster in Haiti. I was just voiceing an opinion.

Lang Lang

As much as you are no doubtedly talented sir, I think you are a joke and a disgrace to concert pianists and classical music as a whole. It is one thing to be able to play notes quickly and robotically. It is a whole other gift to be able to play them passionately and expressively....AND WITHOUT TAKING SUCH BOLD AND BUTCHERING LIBERTIES that completely change the way these composers meant for the peice to sound.

A tragedy fo humanity

We will be completely aware of the immensity of this tragedy only in the next days. No words can describe the abyss of pain that poor haitian people are experiencing.
I join my prayers for them. They need all our help.
