On Friday, July 2nd at 9:30AM EST, Lang Lang is going to ring the Opening Bell at NASDAQ and offer remarks about Expo 2010 Shanghai as the official Ambassador for the World Expo.

This summer, Shanghai meets The Big Apple. On Tuesday, July 13, 2010, 8:00 p.m., the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra (SSO), conducted by Long Yu, and internationally star pianist Lang Lang share the stage with the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Andrey Boreyko, on the Great Lawn in Central Park. The event, celebrating The World Expo 2010 Shanghai, launches this year’s New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks, presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer.

On June 2, 2010, Lang Lang performed for President Obama at a special concert in the East Room of the White House to present to Sir Paul McCartney the third Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The concert featured a tribute by major stars, Lang Lang performed the "Celebration" which propelled McCartney to legendary status in music and humanitarianism around the world. The program, was taped by WETA Washington, D.C., as part of the "In Performance at the White House" series, will air on PBS Stations nationwide on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at 8 p.m.
