On September 20th, Sony held an original event with Lang Lang, as Sony’s Brand Ambassador. The theme of the event was the music and science at Sony ExploraScience in Tokyo. The first session was a lecture on how the human brain processes music by Dr. Shinichi Furuya (University of Minnesota). The second session featured Lang Lang's lesson and mini-recital. He taught two master classes to the children and played two pieces (the Chopin Etude and Hungarian Rhapsody) for over 100 audience members. All participants were impressed by his performance.
Music Hall was packed to the rafters, the crowd was festive, and there was a crush of fans with cameras flashing to get the soloist’s autograph in the lobby.
