Lang Lang performs as a Sony Brand Ambassador

On September 20th, Sony held an original event with Lang Lang, as Sony’s Brand Ambassador. The theme of the event was the music and science at Sony ExploraScience in Tokyo. The first session was a lecture on how the human brain processes music by Dr. Shinichi Furuya (University of Minnesota). The second session featured Lang Lang's lesson and mini-recital. He taught two master classes to the children and played two pieces (the Chopin Etude and Hungarian Rhapsody) for over 100 audience members. All participants were impressed by his performance.

MONTREUX, Switzerland (Reuters) - Chinese piano virtuoso Lang Lang made his first appearance at the Montreux jazz festival on Sunday, teaming up with veteran Herbie Hancock in an audacious show blending classical and jazz music.
 
The two men dressed in black sat facing each other at twin grand pianos to perform a program ranging from Maurice Ravel to George Gershwin.
